Soy Protein Powder

Soy protein is a high-quality plant-based protein that is complete, and is close in quality to eggs, milk and meat. In fact, soy protein has the highest possible protein value score for a powder (1.0), which is a measure of the digestibility and availability of essential amino acids. For individuals exercising, training and building muscle, soy protein can be used as a source of high quality protein to help satisfy the higher need for protein during muscle-building by providing the necessary essential amino acids for physical and muscular development.

While exercise is healthy, it does create oxidant stress that can contribute to muscle soreness, inflammation and the development of free radicals. Research shows that soy protein may speed up muscle recovery after exercise. The isoflavones found in soy protein produce antioxidant effects, which may help reduce soreness and inflammation and may help athletes return to the gym more quickly. If you have ever heard something bad about soy, the information only applies to genetically altered soy.

An abundance of various highly beneficial phytochemicals in your diet have been linked to a variety of health benefits. Those benefits include lower incidence of several common cancers, decreased cardiovascular disease, lower cholesterol, decreased osteoporosis, and enhanced immune system function. Unlike many other protein supplements, Complete Protein Powder contains only naturally derived soy protein and absolutely no GMO (genetically modified organism) soy protein. Genetically altered foods pose potential health threats, including the introduction of new or more potent allergens and toxins, and reduced nutritional content.

To protect your health and maximize your benefits, Complete Protein Powder has not, and will not, contain any GMO-derived soy protein. In regards to what magazines say about soy in order to promote whey (that it makes men fat), though soy proteins contain estrogenic (female hormone mimicking) compounds, it appears that they are tissue and sex specific. Several studies found that soy proteins, unaltered, not genetically modified but all natural, have no effects on the reproductive hormones of men and actually balanced those in women. All the measures you could imagine were taken in gaining access to pure soy to put in my product, I assure you and I have a lot to lose if I am wrong. Soy gives the Complete Protein Powder what it lacks and allows soy to do something it never could alone.

"Soy by itself is not a magic food, but rather it is an example of the different kinds of foods that together in a complete diet can have a positive effect on health."

~ Christine Lewis, acting director of the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition's Office of Nutritional Products, Labeling and Dietary Supplements.

"Furthermore, scientists have found no difference between male animals who ate soy protein that contained the plant estrogen in question and those who ate soy with the estrogen removed, leading researchers to conclude isoflavones do improve cardiovascular risk factors without apparent deleterious effects on the male reproductive system. The only recorded health issues surrounding soy were determined after using genetically modified soy and soy isolates which remove the other natural components in soy required to balance the system."
